Antithesis
Worked on an Antithesis project for my art foundation course last year. I chose life and death, happy days. Took a closer look at the ageing process. Ended up with quite a few images but the follow were by far my favourite and a real mile stone in my drawing style, I wasn't being so picky, I was drawing the way I enjoyed drawing, instead of worrying about what my tutors thought. Everyone loves cheery old people :) I just feel these drawings have a lot of character.

Circus theme
Throughout the summer I was working on a series of illustrations which had a circus theme to them. Many of the drawings are yet to be completed but here are the few I have created so far. Still working on a contortionist and stilt walker. My favourite has to be the fallen acrobat followed closely by the juggler.

Personal illustration
Over the summer I bought some Windsor and Newton inks. I am a bit of an ink fiend and thought I would share some of my finished illustrations.
Observational continuous line drawing of my friend Abi chilling out on the couch
From an old photograph of myself, though I have to admit I've taken artistic liberties with this one.
Not made using inks but interesting all the same, cross hatched illustration of my Dachshund Jack
Having fun with the inks now :) Self portrait, continuous line drawing
It's nice to experiment further. Moving away from a typical manga style and finding my feet with a more contemporary form of illustration. Let me know what you think.
